Our process varies for each individual project, but in general, these are the steps we follow:

1) Determine Needs

You let us know what you’re looking for — whether you want to start with something you saw on our site or another site, or want to start from scratch with your own ideas.

2) Fine-Tune Design

We will come up with a plan that fits your lot size and send you a rough draft. Then we’ll work together on your feedback to get the plan just right. This usually involves 2-3 rounds of revisions.

3) Deliver Plans

Once the plans are finalized, we will email or mail them to you!

What do plans typically include?

Elevations, floor plans, foundation plans, roof plans, floor joist/slab plans, and section details.

Are the plans ready to submit to the building department?

No. Depending on the city, county, and state building requirements, they may need engineering.

Can you draw an electrical plan for this plan?

We certainly can provide an electrical plan at an additional cost.

Do you provide a list of materials to build the house?

We don’t, but suggest your lumber company provide this information.

How many sets of plans do you need to build?

This varies depending on the location/jurisdiction. We provide a PDF file of the plans for you to print the necessary amount.
